The workshop was conceived as an invitation to expand forms of attention — both as a way of being in the world and as a concept in itself (distraction can also be a form of attention). Using the notebook as a support, participants will be invited to respond and create meaning through a variety of unexpected materials presented throughout the process.
The proposal is to look again, remember, find, and give form to things. It is an exercise in awakening attention, understanding the notebook as a space for the invention of time and as a tool for relating to the world. The workshop seeks to sharpen perception, noticing folds, perplexities, and possible coincidences, drawing from diverse references that move between fields such as art and science.
Drawing is one of the possible tools among other practices, such as writing, visual thinking, observation, and distraction. Throughout the workshop, time itself will be used as a material for creation.
